1. The Prospectus describes the theme, dates, curators and special criteria for the Exhibition. Process and Standards details eligibility requirements, artwork submission process, drop-off and pick-up, photographic submission, hanging requirements, and liability waiver.
Almost all questions can be answered by reading these two pages! Please read!
2. You can submit 1 or 2 pieces. Fill out the Exhibition Artwork Submittal Form: enter title of each piece, size, framed or unframed, price of each piece, and medium. Curators aim to accept at least one piece from each artist, and will accept both if there is space! Assume that your work will be accepted; you may not be notified unless there is a problem with your submission. Curators determine how many pieces can be displayed AFTER take-in, while they are hanging the show. You must bring BOTH pieces to Take-In, at the date and time shown on the Prospectus! If you don't hear from us, assume we want to see both pieces!
3. For this exhibition, all artists entering an exhibition are required to serve as a Gallery Attendant for a total of 10.5 hours (3 shifts of 3.5 hours each). If you are unable to fulfill this requirement you can pay for someone else to take your place for one, two or three shifts. Cost for each 3.5 hour shift is $35.
Don't worry! If this is your first time working as an attendant at the "new" Red House, another member will be present to train you.
Please select any available dates between now and the end of this exhibition!
4. Pay for registering your first artwork submittal ($30) and, if necessary, up to 3 Attendant Shifts ($35 each). If you submit two pieces and we have room for both, you will receive an email payment link for the second piece, usually after the show is hung and before the show opens. By entering two pieces, you are agreeing to pay $15 for the second piece, if it is accepted.
5. Unless your artwork is already in the Red House inventory system, you must submit a picture of each artwork piece you enter to complete your registration. Artwork pictures will appear on the Exhibition web page, allowing artwork to be purchased online (as well as in the gallery). See the Exhibition Process and Standards, Section 6 for details. Email photos to inventory@redhousegallery.org.
