If you have problems with the registration process and are unable to solve them by reviewing the instructions below, please call Paul Penny at 919-274-3872. We're happy to help! We want you to enter our exhibition! :-)

Be sure to note the dates and times for Take-In and Pick-up on the Prospectus!

Mark your calendar to bring in / pick up your artwork on those days.

1. The Prospectus describes the theme, dates, curators and special criteria for the Exhibition. Process and Standards details eligibility requirements, artwork submission process, drop-off and pick-up, photographic submission, hanging requirements, and liability waiver. Please review these carefully, as the Juried Exhibition has different details than our other shows! Note that this exhibition is ONLY open to current SVAL Members who have exhibited in AT LEAST TWO Red House exhibitions since September 2024!

Almost all questions can be answered by reading these two pages! Please read!

2. You can submit 1 or 2 pieces. Fill out the Exhibition Artwork Submittal Form: enter title of each piece, size, framed or unframed, price of each piece, and medium. The Juror may accept one or both pieces for the exhibition. By entering two pieces, you improve the likelihood of at least one being accepted for the show. You must bring the piece(s) to Take-In, at the date and time shown on the Prospectus!

3. For this exhibition, all artists entering an exhibition are required to serve as a Gallery Attendant for a total of 10.5 hours (3 shifts of 3.5 hours each). If you are unable to fulfill this requirement you can pay for someone else to take your place for one, two or three shifts. Cost for each 3.5 hour shift is $35.

Don't worry! If this is your first time working as an attendant at the "new" Red House, another member will be present to train you.

Please select any available dates between now and the end of this exhibition!

4. Pay the entry fee for your artwork  ($30 for one piece, or $45 for two pieces) and, if necessary, up to 3 Attendant Shifts ($35 each). Please note that for our Juried Show, fees are based on the number of pieces submitted, regardless of whether they are accepted by the Juror. Fees will NOT be refunded for any pieces not selected for exhibition by the Juror.

5. Unless your artwork is already in the Red House inventory system, you must submit a picture of each artwork piece you enter to complete your registration. Artwork pictures will appear on the Exhibition web page, allowing artwork to be purchased online (as well as in the gallery). See the Exhibition Process and Standards, Section 5 for details. Email photos to inventory@redhousegallery.org.

6. You must have a Liability Waiver on file to be in an exhibition. You can file this Waiver by filling in the online form. If this is your first exhibition of 2025, please complete a new waiver for this exhibition.
