Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Where is the Gallery located? 

1706 N. Mays, Round Rock, Texas, in Round Rock Plaza, just east of Interstate 35 (Hwy 79 exit #253) and just north of downtown Round Rock.  The gallery is located just west of Dell Diamond and Kalahari Resort on Hwy 79.   



2.  What are the Gallery's hours?

Mon-Sat 10am-5pm.  Our 70 feet of front windows display art 24 hours, 7 days a week.  The display is lighted at night.   We are open other hours for events or by appointment.

4.  Are appointments necessary?

An appointment is a good idea if you want to speak to the owner, Carrie Tiemann, or our framer, Heather Leiterman.  



5.  Do you really make house calls?

Yes, we make house calls to addresses in Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Hutto, Leander, Cedar Park, Lakeway, Westlake, Lake Travis, Pflugerville, and surrounding areas.  We can bring artwork to try in your home or office.  We can send you a list with images of Gallery art that matches particular artists, art styles, periods, sizes, or mediums, as you specify.  




6.  How large is the Gallery?

The Gallery is 3500 square feet.  It includes a 1000 square foot framing workshop and about 2000 square feet of display space.  At any one time, about 200 pictures are on display.  

7. What can I see in the Gallery windows?

Over 35 pictures are on display from the Gallery windows.  The window display is lighted at night for spectacular viewing!  We can add an item to the window display on request.   


8.  Is custom framing at the Gallery only for artwork purchased at the Gallery?

No, we are happy to help you frame just about anything.  We build shadow boxes and mount fabrics and three-dimensional objects.  We frame children's art, photos, and diplomas.  We use archival and conservation materials to protect fine artwork.  We also stretch canvas.  We make mirrors.  



                               

9.  Does the Gallery buy artwork or accept consignments?  

Rarely, and only original artwork.  Please send us        photos of anything you would like us to see at info@tagroundrock.com.   

10.  Does the Gallery sell books?

The Gallery has a library of art books that visitors are welcome to read at the Gallery.  The books are not for sale.




11.  Does the Gallery have gift certificates?

Yes, for $25 or more.  We also maintain a registry to direct friends and relatives to contribute to the purchase of  artwork or framing as a wedding, birthday, anniversary, housewarming, graduation, or other gift.



12.  Am I welcome to come into the Gallery just to browse?

Certainly!  We encourage browsers.  We want visitors to come and enjoy the art.  



13.  How much does it cost to frame a picture?

Framing cost depends on the size of the item being framed and the cost of materials:  the frame moulding, mounting materials, hardware, glass, and matboard.  We have package diploma/certificate (10.5 x 13.5) framing that starts at $95 and package children's art (10 x 12) framing that starts at $85.  Cost to frame artwork purchased at the Gallery is discounted 15%.   



14.  What events do you have at the Gallery?

Planned events include art shows, book signings, Nights Out, live music concerts, antique print coloring, and frame design.   Please submit your email (see below) to receive event announcements.
