When I was young I had 8 cats, not pretty little things but big rough and tumble farm cats. I would try to play with them, I was a walking cat-scratch, and persuade my Parents that they were all indoor cats ( it never worked). I'll always find them enchanting subjects, character, shape, markings and texture. They are a dream to try to capture in any medium.
Cows constantly chew. They're cute when they're young, but boy are they dumb.
Meet the Giants. I've had the privilege to study these gorgeous creatures in their native habitat and they are every bit as stunning as I'd imagined. I have tried to translate background colors and textures into stylized confident brushstrokes so the line work is the elephant.
I have throughly enjoyed these images, worked them out on heavy paper and some of them on canvases too. Practice makes perfect.
