The Umbrella Art Gallery is delighted to host a new exhibition of works by artists from ArtSpace Maynard, which has been temporarily closed for exhibitions. Work representing a variety of styles and media will be on display in their first group exhibition since the pandemic, with most work available for purchase through The Umbrella’s Art Cloud online art market gallery.
The Umbrella is also pleased to welcome the public to several artist talks to be held on multiple Saturdays and Thursday evenings to be announced during the exhibition.
ABOUT ARTSPACE MAYNARD CLOSURE & HOW TO HELP
ArtSpace Maynard is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides affordable space for some 85 local artists to work and exhibit art. It’s currently experiencing a critical need for support due to the forced closure of its east wing and basement studios following a notice of reduced occupancy from the Town of Maynard. Artspace must remain closed until issues are identified, remediated, and a re-inspection can be performed to reinstate the historic building’s full occupancy certification.
The Umbrella is pleased to support our fellow artists, who have been uprooted and prevented from exhibiting work in their gallery space. We encourage art audiences to consider purchasing artwork in the exhibition, or making a donation to support ArtSpace Maynard at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/artspace (or by check to ArtSpace at 63 Summer Street, Maynard, MA 01754).
