Offered this week, “Bluebonnet Time” by Austin artist Matthew Stavrowsky.

Are you a Texan?  Love bluebonnets?  Every Texan needs 1 or 5 bluebonnet paintings in their house.  I love those Texas hill country scenes showing carpets of bluebonnets, with a few Indian paintbrush for extra color, gnarly live oak trees, hills in the background, big Texas sky, maybe some birds.  But how about something different?  I first saw this painting at Matt’s house above the fireplace.  I thought he would never part with it.   Here it is for sale in the gallery.  Matt told me that a wise man (his father, famous western artist Oleg Stavrowsky) advised him, “As an artist, only fall in love with your NEXT painting.” Matt has created a fun, campy, fresh version of the Texas bluebonnet painting.  (Is that a cell phone in her hand?  No, it’s bluebonnets!)  Loving bluebonnets and art, I look for bluebonnet paintings with an edge – something different.  They are hard to find.  This is a great one!

Come see Bluebonnet Time in our window at 1706 N. Mays in Round Rock.  The painting is an original oil on canvas, 20” x 24”, framed in a silver plein air frame, 30” x 34”.  For pricing, please call 512-551-9774 or email info@tagroundrock.com.
