Steve Brudniak is an American contemporary artist known for highly crafted, psychogenic, surreal assemblages invested with science elements and unusual characteristics. Brudniak pioneered use of many unconventional mediums including Tesla coil lightning, magnetic fluid, biological and human blood preservations, gyro mechanics, and unique laser and optical applications. In 2008 his Astrogeneris Mementos became the first assemblage sculptures exhibited in outer space, aboard the International Space Station. His work is in the collections of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the San Antonio Museum of Art, The El Paso Museum of Art, The Art Museum of South Texas, The Art Museum of Southeast Texas and Mexic-Arte Museum, Austin. Hundreds of web, documentary, book and print publications include the work, which has exhibited nearly 200 times. The monograph, The Science of Surrealism - Assemblage Sculpture of Steve Brudniak is in over 75 major public, university and museum libraries worldwide. Brudniak is also an accomplished musician, and actor, director and producer in film and television.
