My work is a process where one calculation leads to the next and so on, until the dialectic, the energy and the opposing forces are interesting and complete to me. The finished “image” is a compilation of my ideas and experiences and my reaction to the materials I am using. I manipulate them to build a language of personal imagery that, to me, is aesthetically pleasing, thought-provoking and at times, humorous. I encourage the viewer to interpret their meaning based on their own experiences. I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, paper, and wood.
