BIO: Josh struggles with art that is pretty but devoid of meaning, or vice versa. He believes that his art should be both, and finds that being an artist and a psychotherapist provide the right foundation to support that goal. He allows a relationship with each painting to develop freely and intuitively, each piece communicating its own unique message of beauty and meaning. Once the language of color, textures and composition begin to emerge, he interacts with more intention and focus while trying to remain faithful to the beginning gift that presented itself. The end result is a piece of harmonious colors that express a sense of form and place. He loves using acrylics now due to all of the options with color vibrancy and flow versatility due to recent technology. More important to him than his signature on each piece is to contain the chaos of the abstraction by his final step of building a custom floating frame.
