Room Screen -"Different Phases" is painted on a canvas screen, double sided linocut and acrylic painting. On the one side Jennifer Blalack has layered muted blue-gray acrylic with light-blue linocuts, with gold spray in between and a delicate print of rusty maroon on top. There are hints of purple in the subtle marbled areas topped with gold as well. The opposite side is a much more aggressively composed work, with more impasto work, lined imprints, and mark making. The colors are more muted, with browns, tans, and gold with some red-orange and light-blue intertwined. Accents of lime, cerulean and purple also come through the linocuts.
